Hyperspace

Collaboration with Marcial Koch

Hyperspace is an interactive explorative game whereby players can learn about the physical properties of light transmission as it's used in fiber optics. Two players can comunicate in a telegraphic style by squeezing silicone balls on top of the joystick controller. Light impulses are then sent out through the tube that is filled with a high refraction index chemical liquid. The light keeps bouncing within the tube and brings the opposing controller to glow according to the signals sent out. Several material and shape exploration series went before the final prototype. The game is quite fun and affords the players inquisitivity.
